Author, podcaster, and financial educator, Todd R. Christensen, AFC, MIM, MA is Education Manager for Money Fit by DRS, Inc., a nationwide nonprofit financial wellness and credit counseling agency. Author of Everyday Money for Everyday People (2014), host of The Money Fit Show podcast, and creator of My Life My Choices, Todd develops educational programs and produces materials that teach personal financial skills and responsibilities. He is an Accredited Financial Counselor® and has facilitated more than 2,000 workshops for tens of thousands of individuals and couples on the fundamentals of effective personal financial management. Quoted frequently in top media sources such as Time, US News, GoBankingRates.com, Business Insiders, CNBC, Bankrate.com, NBC, Fox Business, and Parents.com, Todd develops and publishes free personal finance webinars, tools, calculators, and other resources for all ages through The Money Fit Academy. Topics include credit building, debt reduction, household budgeting, spending behaviors, savings strategies, and identity protection. Todd has served in top leadership positions with the Association for Financial Counseling and Planning Education, the Idaho Financial Literacy Coalition, the Pennsylvania Jump$tart Coalition, and serves on program coordinating committees for several housing authorities in Idaho. His other published articles and booklets have addressed topics ranging from marriage and money to raising financially savvy children, from recovering from bankruptcy to controlling holiday spending. He thrives on speaking at conferences and meetings and facilitating classroom presentations at all levels. At age 7, he rode his 10-speed with his family 800 miles across 3 western states. He’s an eagle scout, lived in Mexico for two years, has a master's in French, and can quote extensively from Monty Python’s Holy Grail, and The Princess Bride. Todd and his wife, Wendy, have four children and enjoy travel, especially when it involves windy and rocky ocean beaches, mouse ears, or a visit to Hogwarts. And family movie nights must include peanut M&Ms in popcorn.
